The French state defined the Golfe de Fos 1 offshore area as a dedicated zone for a future floating wind farm following the EOS public debate held in 2021 under the auspices of the CNDP. This decision established the location, more than 25 km off the Mediterranean coast in the Golfe de Fos, that will host the Méditerranée Grand Large floating offshore wind project.
