bathymetric survey services... assess the condition of monopile foundations, inter-array cables, and export cable assets
XOCEAN was awarded a series of five-year survey contracts covering six Dutch offshore wind farms, including Eneco Luchterduinen, with the agreements coordinated by Eneco on behalf of the participating wind farm owners. The contracted scope focused on bathymetric survey services to support safe and efficient operations across operational assets. Eneco stated that XOCEAN’s work included the acquisition of high-resolution data to assess the condition of monopile foundations, inter-array cables, and export cable assets. XOCEAN was to deploy remotely operated uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) to gather repeatable, high-quality subsea data, supporting maintenance planning and maximising asset uptime and long-term performance. For Eneco Luchterduinen specifically, the role related to operational-phase condition assessment and monitoring of the wind farm’s monopile foundation environment and related subsea infrastructure. The surveys were positioned as part of ongoing maintenance programmes, providing asset owners and the operator with actionable seabed and infrastructure condition insights while reducing operational risk and emissions compared with conventional crewed survey approaches.
