Delta Lloyd was named among the economic operators selected to provide Construction All Risks (CAR) insurance for the Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm development (also referred to as Q10). The insurance was procured by Clusius C.V., validly represented by Q10 Offshore Wind B.V., and covered the wind farm to be built approximately 23 kilometres off the Dutch coast near the municipalities of Noordwijk and Zandvoort. The CAR policy scope was intended to provide risk coverage during the full construction period and the applicable maintenance period following completion/commissioning. This typically includes protection against physical loss or damage to insured project works and associated construction activities, together with related insured perils and project risk exposures during the build phase. The award notice indicated that Delta Lloyd formed part of a group of insurers/market participants appointed for this project insurance placement, alongside several other named operators. No contract value, premium, or policy limits were disclosed in the notice. The award decision date was stated as 16 August 2013, aligning the insurance placement with the project’s pre-construction/procurement timeline ahead of offshore installation and grid connection works.
