INPEX acquired a 50% ownership interest in the Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm in February 2022. According to INPEX, it signed a share transfer agreement in December 2021 with Diamond Generating Europe B.V. (DGE-NL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, and a DGE-NL subsidiary. This agreement led to the transfer of a 50% equity stake in the 129 MW fixed-bottom Luchterduinen offshore wind farm, located 23 km off the coast of Noordwijk in the Netherlands. Following completion of the transaction, INPEX (through its European entity) holds 50% of the project alongside Eneco, which retains the remaining 50%.
