In 2015, Heinen & Hopman secured an operations-phase service contract for the Eneco-owned Luchterduinen offshore wind farm’s Offshore High Voltage Station (OHVS) in the Netherlands. In addition to supplying the HVAC system for the OHVS, the company was awarded a contract to provide 24/7 service and maintenance for the HVAC installation. Heinen & Hopman states that it thoroughly investigated how to reduce maintenance costs and tailored the service contract specifically for the Luchterduinen project, aiming to ensure reliable cooling of high-voltage electrical components and minimise the risk of failures and costly downtime.
