On 27 December 2024, the French Ministry in charge of Industry and Energy awarded the 250 MW Éoliennes Flottantes d’Occitanie (EFLO) floating offshore wind project, part of the AO6 tender in the Gulf of Lion off Occitanie, to Ocean Winds and Banque des Territoires. The project covers one of two mutually exclusive AO6 development zones and is expected to have around 250 MW of capacity and produce about 1 TWh of electricity annually, enough to supply roughly 500,000 residents.
