On 20 April 2018, later supplemented on 24 October 2018, Les Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion SAS (LEFGL) submitted an application to the Préfecture for an environmental authorisation (autorisation environnementale) for the EFGL floating wind pilot farm off Leucate and Le Barcarès under articles L181-1 and following of the French environmental code.
