By an arrêté préfectoral dated 18 November 2019, the Préfecture granted the environmental authorisation for the EFGL floating wind pilot project off Leucate and Le Barcarès, which also serves as a water law authorisation, a derogation from protections for certain species, and a Natura 2000 incidence decision, thereby allowing construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of the four-turbine pilot farm.
