Following extensive studies and earlier consultations, the Dunkirk offshore wind farm and its grid connection underwent a statutory public inquiry from 8 April to 1 June 2024 across 13 affected communes. A commission of inquiry collected public comments on the authorisation requests submitted by EMD and RTE and later issued a report with motivated conclusions for the competent authorities.
