Between mid-September and late December 2020, Eoliennes en Mer de Dunkerque (EMD) and RTE held a formal public debate on the Dunkirk offshore wind farm and its grid connection, led by the CPDP commission under the French national public debate agency (CNDP). Nine public meetings and online contributions enabled around 1,100 participants to express views and concerns, and the feedback informed the promoters’ subsequent decision to proceed with project development.
