On 2 April 2026, the Dutch Minister of Climate Policy and Green Growth (KGG) and the Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (VRO) adopted a new preparatory decision (voorbereidingsbesluit) for the Wind op zee Doordewind project, again covering the full Doordewind wind energy area including the future Doordewind II site. Published in the Staatscourant on 2 April 2026 and effective from 3 April 2026, the decision continues to block other building and related activities in the area that could obstruct construction of the offshore wind farms until the kavelbesluit is issued, and it cannot be appealed.
