Following the March 2026 Partial Revision of the Programma Noordzee 2022-2027 (Kamerbrief 20 March 2026; Staatscourant 2 April 2026) — which reaffirmed Doordewind for the post-2032 period and added the Doordewind (west) extension as an indicative additional 2 GW — the Dutch Government plans to publish an updated Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap (Routekaart windenergie op zee) by the end of December 2026. The updated roadmap is expected to set an adjusted national offshore wind target and to specify the kavelindeling (site layout) and tender planning for new and reaffirmed areas including Doordewind II, which remains in the follow-up phase of the roadmap (2033-2040).
