In 2024, the Dutch government decided that Doordewind Wind Farm Site II (Doordewind II) would not be developed within the 21 GW Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap planned to be realised by the end of 2032, effectively deferring the 2 GW site to a later development phase while Doordewind Site I remains scheduled to be fully operational in Q4 2032.
