In mid‑2025, RVO prepared detailed constraint mapping for the Doordewind wind energy area, including the planned Doordewind (west) extension, as input to the environmental impact assessment. The mapping documents shipping lanes and traffic separation schemes near the zone, Natura 2000 and Marine Strategy Framework Directive areas such as the Friese Front, existing oil and gas activities in mining block G14, as well as existing cables, pipelines, helideck infrastructure, and other spatial constraints, all based on data available in July 2025.
