DELAYED +7yr (May 2026): The 2 GW Doordewind westward extension is only at zone-designation stage and has no published tender/commissioning date. RVO’s Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap table lists Doordewind wind farm sites with permit procedure and (expected) commissioning both ‘To be determined’, and notes that Doordewind will expand westward for an additional 2 GW with ecological research still ongoing. Given the absence of an official schedule and that these post-2032 areas are part of the next rollout phase, the 2033 COD projection is not supportable; shifting to a conservative end-of-2040 placeholder pending publication of the post-2032 roadmap/tender timetable. --- The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) states that after adapting the Doordewind Wind Farm Zone with a western extension and a reduction in the south, the wind farms in the enlarged zone—now fully included in the Dutch Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap—are not planned to be operational before 2033, meaning commercial operations for projects in the Doordewind (west) extension area are only expected from 2033 onwards at the earliest.
