G-TEC completed a seabed geophysical survey in the Dutch Doordewind Wind Farm Zone (DDWWFZ), under a contract signed with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in 2024. The work supported preparation of site data for the zone that contains the planned 2 GW Doordewind I offshore wind site, which is scheduled for auction in 2027 with commissioning expected around 2032. Offshore survey operations were carried out using G-TEC’s survey vessels Mainport GEO and Karina. G-TEC acquired, processed, and delivered a package of geophysical datasets using multibeam echosounder (MBES), side-scan sonar (SSS), sub-bottom profiler (SBP), and magnetometry (MAG). The surveyed area reported for the lot described was approximately 310 km². G-TEC stated that its deliverables formed a critical input to the wider Integrated Ground Model workstream for the Doordewind zone. RVO indicated the seabed datasets would be used as input for upcoming geotechnical investigations and for constructing an Integrated Ground Model, and that the results would be published for use by participants in the permit tenders for Doordewind I and Doordewind II.
