DKE-PL-1 has been dropped from active ENTSO-E network planning, indicating the project is effectively on hold despite no formal cancellation notice from either Energinet (Denmark) or PSE (Poland). The June 2025 Regional Investment Plan for the Baltic Sea region under TYNDP 2024 does not include the project in its transmission project portfolio (Appendix I). Table 2 of the same document enumerates the most important cross-border projects across every Baltic border (DK-NO Skagerrak reinvestment; DK-SE Konti-Skan upgrade; DK-DE Bornholm Energy Island; EE-FI Estlink 3; LT-PL Harmony Link; LV-SE LaSGo Link; DE-PL "subject to further discussion and analysis, as there is no existing agreement or planned project at this stage"; PL-SE same language; etc.) but contains no row for the DK-PL border at all. The same absence is observed in the May 2023 TYNDP 2022 Baltic Sea Regional Investment Plan portfolio. The project also does not appear in the European Commission's 6th PCI/PMI list (Commission Decision C(2023) 7930, November 2023). The most recent positive ENTSO-E listing is in the TYNDP 2020 project portfolio (February 2020), which gave an expected commissioning year of 2033 with endpoints Avedøre (DK) - Dunowo (PL). Prior listings: TYNDP 2014 (project 166 "DKE-PL", Bjæverskov-Dunowo) and the October 2015 Regional Investment Plan for TYNDP 2016 (project 234 "DKE-PL-1", Energinet promoter, post-2030 commissioning). Endpoints have varied across cycles, consistent with the project never having advanced beyond conceptual planning.
