Fugro

Fugro was commissioned by Eoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT) to perform an offshore geotechnical investigation to support and optimise foundation design for the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm site between Le Tréport and Dieppe. The work was carried out during a 2018–2019 campaign and included drilling geotechnical boreholes at turbine locations, the offshore voltage station location and along cable routes, with boreholes taken to depths of up to 80 metres below the seafloor, followed by an onshore laboratory testing programme to characterise ground conditions. This work was undertaken in the project development stage to reduce foundation design and installation risk in challenging ground conditions.
