Offshore construction at the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm effectively started in June 2024 when DEME’s installation vessel Apollo commenced a pre-piling campaign at the project site. Under a 2023 contract covering transport and installation of pin piles and jacket foundations, Apollo began transporting and installing 248 pin piles at the wind farm location, situated about 15 kilometres off Le Tréport and 17 kilometres off Dieppe. These works mark the first major offshore construction activities for the 496 MW project, preparing the seabed for subsequent jacket foundation installation for the 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines and associated offshore substation structures.
