On 22 February 2021, EDF Renewables, Enbridge (via EIH S.à r.l) and wpd announced that they had finalised financing agreements with their financial partners and formally launched construction of the 448 MW Calvados (Courseulles-sur-Mer) offshore wind farm, marking Final Investment Decision and financial close for the project. The total project cost is estimated at around €2 billion, with the majority financed through non-recourse project finance debt.
