DELAYED +0mo (May 2026): Source refresh only — date unchanged. Previous source_date was the heuristic 2026-01-01; refreshing to the project's own July 2025 update which explicitly states 'mise en service progressive a partir du second semestre 2027' (progressive commissioning from H2 2027), a defensible primary-source anchor for the year-2027 projection. --- EDF Renewables, Enbridge (via EIH), CPP Investments/Maple Power and Skyborn plan for the 448–450 MW Calvados (Courseulles-sur-Mer) offshore wind farm off the Bessin/Calvados coast to reach commissioning and enter service in 2027, following earlier schedules for 2024–2025 that have been pushed back due to construction challenges, including slower-than-expected drilling of monopile sockets by Saipem. Once fully commissioned, the project is expected to supply electricity equivalent to the needs of about 630,000 people, or more than 90% of the Calvados department’s population.
