Sinay contributed to the baseline environmental knowledge programme for the Centre Manche 2 offshore wind project area off the Normandy coast. The scope covered a preliminary study and the definition of survey protocols for multiple environmental compartments other than megafauna, focusing on benthic habitats, water and sediment quality, ichthyofauna (fish communities), and underwater noise. Sinay also produced a final 2024 report consolidating the results from the associated at-sea measurement campaigns carried out for the initial state of the environment (“état initial de l’environnement”). These deliverables supported the broader multi-year environmental data collection period referenced for the zone (spanning 2022–2024), and formed part of the documentation set made available through the public catalogue of studies for the project. This work sits within the project’s development-stage environmental assessment and monitoring activities, providing baseline datasets and methodological frameworks that can be used to inform impact assessment, stakeholder consultation, and subsequent monitoring requirements as the project progresses toward construction and commissioning.
