DREAL Normandie reports that the Centre Manche 2 offshore wind project passed a key milestone when project management was officially transferred from the French State to TotalEnergies on 18 November 2025, during the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales. This formalisation of the “passation de la maîtrise d’ouvrage” designates TotalEnergies as the new project owner responsible for further developing the Centre Manche 2 wind farm, described as the largest offshore wind project in France. The handover marks a transition from state-led development to private-sector project management within the framework of the Centre Manche 2 tender, for which the Cotentin Energies Marines consortium, composed of TotalEnergies and RWE, had been selected to continue project development.
