Survey Other Start

Baseline environmental survey and monitoring campaigns for the Centre Manche 1 offshore wind project started in May 2022. As part of the wider 2020–2024 knowledge studies, these at-sea campaigns establish the initial state of the environment across the project area. Activities include sampling to assess water and sediment quality, surveying benthic habitats, conducting scientific fisheries surveys, recording underwater noise, and performing visual and vessel-based observations of seabirds and marine mammals, alongside telemetry tracking of birds. The campaigns are scheduled to run from May 2022 through June 2024, providing data needed to characterise existing environmental conditions and support impact assessment and project development decisions.
