On 27 March 2023, France’s Ministry of Energy Transition awarded the fourth offshore wind tender (AO4 Normandy) to Eoliennes en Mer Manche Normandie, the project company owned by EDF Renewables and Maple Power, securing the revenue support contract and right to design, build, operate and decommission the approximately 1 GW Centre Manche 1 offshore wind farm off Normandy at a competitively low strike price reported as under EUR 45/MWh.
