EDF power solutions issued a European procurement notice on 9 October 2025 for an Environmental Impact Assessment contract for AO9 (P1 Bretagne Sud 2), covering drafting and support of the environmental impact study, Natura 2000 assessment, and any required derogation applications for protected species to obtain a single environmental authorisation for one to two offshore wind projects in the South Brittany EEZ. The services, expected to start in December 2025 with an indicative end in April 2026, will prepare the documentation needed for the construction and operation permits of the Bretagne Sud 2 floating wind farm extension to AO5.
