On 6 April 2018, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Eric Wiebes announced that Two Towers B.V. had won the tender for Borssele Wind Farm Site V, the 20 MW Innovation Site within the Borssele Wind Farm Zone. Two Towers B.V. is a consortium of Van Oord Renewable Finance, Investri Offshore and Green Giraffe Holding. The tender was structured as a combined SDE+ grant and permit procedure for the Borssele Site V innovation area, so the tender award effectively granted the project’s main development permit alongside subsidy support, enabling the consortium to proceed with developing the Borssele V offshore wind innovation project in the Netherlands.
