Offshore construction at Borssele Wind Farm Site V effectively started on 25 April 2020, when Van Oord used its installation vessel Aeolus to install the world’s first submerged Slip Joint connection between the monopile and transition piece for one of the site’s foundations, marking the beginning of major offshore installation works for the 19 MW innovation project.
