FØN Energy Services was awarded a five-year maintenance and inspection contract covering Borssele III & IV (Blauwwind) as part of a combined tender from six Dutch North Sea offshore wind farms coordinated by Eneco as operator. The combined cohort comprises 303 turbines across Borssele 3&4, Borssele 5 (Two Towers), Eneco Luchterduinen, Hollandse Kust Noord (CrossWind), Hollandse Kust West VI (Ecowende) and Prinses Amaliawindpark. For Borssele III & IV the scope covers above-water Balance of Plant (BoP) Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (IRM) services on foundations and secondary steel, together with below-water Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV) surveys of the subsea infrastructure. Services commence in 2026 (or later for sites whose existing commitments have yet to expire). FØN will introduce innovative technologies and methodologies aimed at optimising performance, enhancing safety and minimising downtime. By bundling the six wind farms into one tender, Eneco and the owners targeted economies of scale and streamlined cohort coordination — for example mobilising single campaigns covering all wind farms rather than individual visits. No contract value was disclosed. The award sits alongside contemporaneous portfolio-cohort awards to Omexom (electrical O&M) and XOCEAN (bathymetric surveys).
