Prysmian Group was awarded a contract by Van Oord Offshore Wind B.V. to develop the submarine inter-array cable system for the Borssele III & IV offshore wind farms. Prysmian is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply and testing of about 175 km of 66 kV three-core XLPE-insulated cables and associated accessories, to connect the 77 turbines within the 731.5 MW project in the Borssele Wind Farm Zone, with production at its Pikkala, Finland facility and cable deliveries scheduled for early 2020.
