In May 2021, Ørsted completed the divestment of a 50% equity stake in the 752 MW Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm to Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM). The parties had signed the agreement on 7 April 2021 for a consideration of approximately EUR 1.375 billion, establishing NBIM as co-owner while Ørsted retained the remaining 50% stake and continued as operator of the project, providing long-term O&M, balancing services, and route-to-market for the wind farm’s output.
