On 24 September 2021, the European Investment Bank signed a €500 million loan agreement with Ørsted A/S to finance the construction and operation of the 752 MW Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farms in the Dutch part of the North Sea as part of its renewable energy and climate action lending.
