Ocean Winds has scheduled the start of wind turbine installation for the BC-Wind offshore wind farm in 2028. Under a conditional agreement announced in July 2025, Siemens Gamesa will supply 26 SG 14-236 offshore turbines, each rated at 14 MW with a Power Boost capability up to 15 MW, and provide service and maintenance. The project documentation states that installation and commissioning of these units are planned for 2028, implying that the offshore turbine installation campaign will commence during that year. Logistics will be organised via Terminal T5 in the Port of Gdańsk as the marshalling harbour, with Cadeler contracted to transport and install the turbines using its O-class installation vessels. This installation start is a key step in delivering first power from BC-Wind in 2028 and progressing the project towards its planned 390 MW capacity.
