Completion of turbine installation at the BC-Wind offshore wind farm is planned by 2028. The project, led by Ocean Winds in Poland’s Baltic Sea, will use Cadeler as the turbine installation contractor. Cadeler’s specialised offshore installation vessel is reserved to transport and install the wind turbine generators, with the installation campaign scheduled to be finished by 2028. In parallel, Ocean Winds has contracted Siemens Gamesa to supply 26 SG 14-236 turbines, each 14 MW with Power Boost to 15 MW, with installation and commissioning also planned for 2028. Together these sources indicate that the full set of BC-Wind turbines is expected to be installed offshore by the end of 2028, enabling the project to move into final commissioning and first power shortly thereafter.
