Ocean Winds plans to commence onshore construction for the BC-Wind offshore wind farm in 2026. According to the project’s official information, current tasks for 2026 include starting onshore construction works covering the onshore substation and grid connection infrastructure near Choczewo in Poland’s Pomeranian Voivodeship. A December 2025 Ocean Winds update adds that Polish contractor P&Q will design and build the onshore substation and export cable route, with Tele-Fonika Kable supplying and installing the associated cables. These activities mark the transition from development and financing into physical construction on land for the 390 MW BC‑Wind project, which lies about 23 km offshore and is supported by a 25‑year CfD.
