BC-Wind, Ocean Winds’ first offshore wind farm in Poland, is planned to export its first electricity to the Polish grid in 2028. The 390 MW bottom-fixed project, located about 23 km north of the Krokowa and Choczewo municipalities in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, will use 26 Siemens Gamesa SG 14‑236 turbines on monopile foundations. Developer communications describe 2028 as the year when “first power” will flow from the wind farm, marking the transition from construction and commissioning into initial operation. Once fully operational after this first-power milestone, BC-Wind is expected to supply zero‑emission electricity to roughly 488,000 Polish households, contributing to Poland’s offshore wind build‑out and energy transition.
