From 17 to 19 August 2025, the NG Worker vessel operated offshore Bayonne, Capbreton and Vielle-Saint-Girons on the French Atlantic coast carrying out preparatory operations ahead of the future submarine cable installation for the Bay of Biscay HVDC interconnection between France and Spain. The deployment marked the first executed offshore preparatory works on the marine corridor and was carried out by Next Geosolutions Europe under its 2025-2027 subsea services contract with Prysmian Powerlink, awarded for boulder removal, pre-lay grapnel runs, installation of protective mattresses and pre-lay seabed surveys along the planned cable route. The vessel intervention covered the southern portion of the French marine corridor in the southern Landes / Pyrénées-Atlantiques approaches, ahead of the broader marine campaign scheduled to ramp up in 2026.
