Bałtyk III export connection uses two 220 kV HVAC submarine export cables (part of a four-cable package for Bałtyk II & III; combined submarine cable length stated as 256 km).
Hellenic Cables, as part of a consortium with Jan De Nul Group, was contracted by Equinor and Polenergia to deliver the 220 kV HVAC export cable package for the Bałtyk III offshore wind farm grid connection (together with Bałtyk II). The consortium scope covered the design, manufacture, supply, transport and installation of the export cables connecting the offshore wind farm to shore. Hellenic Cables’ scope included the design and manufacture of the 220 kV HVAC submarine export cables at its plant in Corinth, Greece, for subsequent transport and installation by the consortium.
