Equinor and Polenergia plan to start installing foundations for the twin Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms in spring 2026. Following completion of a subsea rock installation campaign that began in January 2026, the next phase of the 2026 offshore construction campaign will involve transporting and installing monopile foundations and transition pieces, along with selected components of the two offshore substations. Heerema Marine Contractors’ heavy‑lift vessel Thialf will be used for this work, ahead of subsequent export and inter‑array cable installation later in the year.
