Equinor and Polenergia state that their jointly developed Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms in the Polish exclusive economic zone of the Baltic Sea are expected to export first power to the grid in 2027. Together the two projects will have 1,440 MW of capacity and will supply renewable energy to more than 2 million households in Poland, with Bałtyk 3 accounting for 720 MW. The developers note that construction is progressing both offshore and onshore, and indicate that initial energisation and power export from the wind farms is planned ahead of full commercial operation, which will follow in 2028.
