Cadeler signed firm contracts with the Equinor/Polenergia joint venture companies in October 2024 to install the 100 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 DD wind turbine generators across the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms in the Polish exclusive economic zone of the Baltic Sea. For Bałtyk 2 specifically, Cadeler's scope covers transport and installation of the project's 50 turbines. Cadeler plans to deploy both an O-Class and a P-Class wind turbine installation vessel for the campaign, providing the lift capability required for the latest-generation SG 14-236 DD platform (236 m rotor diameter). The total potential value of the combined Bałtyk 2 + 3 contract is in the range of EUR 120-144 million; the Bałtyk 2 portion can be approximated as half of that range (~EUR 60-72m), with the headline contract_value figure here recording the midpoint of the joint contract value (EUR 132m total for both wind farms). Turbine installation operations are scheduled to begin in 2027, following completion of monopile and transition-piece installation by Heerema Marine Contractors' heavy-lift vessel Thialf during the 2026 campaign. First power from Bałtyk 2 is expected in 2027 with full commercial operation in 2028.
