Foundation installation for the Bałtyk 2 offshore wind farm is scheduled to start in spring 2026, as part of the first main offshore construction campaign for the Bałtyk 2 and 3 projects. According to the developers, Heerema Marine Contractors will use its heavy‑lift installation vessel Thialf to transport and install 100 monopiles and transition pieces for the two wind farms, as well as selected offshore substation components. This mobilisation in the Baltic Sea marks the transition from seabed preparation to installing the fixed‑bottom foundations that will support Siemens Gamesa SG 14‑236 DD turbines, enabling subsequent cable and turbine works in 2026–2027.
