Offshore cable installation for Bałtyk 2 is scheduled to begin in 2026. Equinor and Polenergia have awarded Seaway7 the contract to supply and install approximately 200 km of 66 kV inter-array cables, and a Jan De Nul–Hellenic Cables consortium the contract for four 220 kV offshore export cables totalling 256 km. Developer communications state that offshore works, including installation of both inter-array and export cables, will commence within 2026, following foundation and substation component installation. Subsequent statements from the developers and media indicate that in the months after monopile and transition piece installation starts, construction will continue with export and inter-array cable laying, linking Bałtyk 2’s turbines and offshore substation to the onshore grid connection.
