As part of preparations for Baltica 9, PGE Baltica awarded a contract to a consortium of Geo Ingenieurservice Polska and Baltic Diving Solutions to survey the Baltic Sea seabed for unexploded ordnance and shallow gas. The scope includes specialist geophysical work, data processing, and issuing ALARP certificates for locations where geotechnical surveys will later be performed. This UXO‑focused survey campaign is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 and will be conducted along routes pre‑defined by the preceding 2D UHRS geophysical campaign, helping to ensure that subsequent intrusive investigations can proceed safely.
