On 18 December 2025, in parallel with securing a Contract for Difference for the 975 MW Baltica 9 project in Poland’s first offshore wind auction, PGE signed a conditional agreement with RWE to acquire RWE Offshore Wind Poland sp. z o.o., the company holding the adjacent FEW Baltic II offshore wind project of approximately 350 MW. Bringing FEW Baltic II under PGE’s control next to Baltica 9 will create an integrated offshore wind development with a total capacity of about 1.3 GW, referred to as Baltica 9+, enabling PGE to pursue economies of scale in developing and operating this cluster on the Słupsk Bank.
