On 17 December 2025, PGE’s subsidiary Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 9 sp. z o.o., which is developing the 975 MW Baltica 9 offshore wind farm in area 44.E.1, secured a two-sided Contract for Difference (CfD) in Poland’s first competitive offshore wind auction (AMFW/1/2025). The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) granted Baltica 9 the right to cover the negative balance of electricity generated and fed into the grid for a 25‑year period. The CfD sets a net strike price of PLN 489.00/MWh and underpins project revenues, providing long-term price stability that supports financing and progression towards construction. The expected commercial operations date for Baltica 9 under this support contract is 17 December 2032. This award also formed the basis for PGE’s broader Baltica 9+ concept, combining Baltica 9 with the neighbouring FEW Baltic II project into a roughly 1.3 GW cluster.
