In April 2021, the neighbouring FEW Baltic II offshore wind project, originally held by RWE Offshore Wind Poland sp. z o.o., secured a two‑sided Contract for Difference (CfD) under Poland’s first‑phase administrative offshore wind support regime. The project, with a capacity of approximately 350 MW, obtained Phase I CfD support via a ministerial by-law, completing the two‑step allocation process under the Offshore Wind Promotion Act. This CfD gives FEW Baltic II long‑term revenue stability and a defined strike price (not disclosed in the cited texts). When PGE later agreed to acquire RWE Offshore Wind Poland and integrate FEW Baltic II with the adjacent Baltica 9 site, this existing Phase I CfD became part of the Baltica 9+ cluster, enabling a combined offshore wind development of around 1.3 GW with secured revenue streams from both the Phase I and Phase II regimes.
