On 16 May 2025, PGE Baltica awarded a further survey contract for the Baltica 9 offshore wind farm, signing with a consortium of Polish companies Geo Ingenieurservice Polska and Baltic Diving Solutions. The consortium will conduct a specialist geophysical survey of the Baltic Sea seabed focused on detecting unexploded ordnance and shallow gas in locations pre‑selected from a preceding 2D ultra‑high‑resolution seismic campaign performed by Geofizyka Toruń. Their scope includes executing the surveys, processing and analysing the acquired data, and issuing ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable) certificates for sites where future geotechnical investigations are planned. The work is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 and will support safe planning of detailed geotechnical campaigns and foundation design. This award strengthens the Polish supply chain’s role in Baltica 9’s development by engaging domestic marine survey and diving specialists.
