On 28 April 2025, PGE Baltica signed a contract with Polish geophysical specialist Geofizyka Toruń S.A. to deliver site investigation services for the Baltica 9 offshore wind farm. Under the agreement, Geofizyka Toruń will carry out geophysical surveys using high‑resolution reflection seismic combined with bathymetric measurements over the Baltica 9 licence area on the western Słupsk Bank, about 48 kilometres from shore and covering roughly 121 square kilometres. Offshore measurements are scheduled to run from the first half of May until mid‑June 2025, with analytical work and delivery of results planned by November 2025. The campaign will characterise subsurface geology down to 100 metres and identify hazards such as shallow gas, paleochannels and glacial tills. This procurement marks a key early contract award supporting Baltica 9’s preparation for participation in Poland’s offshore auction and subsequent wind farm construction.
