On 3 December 2024 the Voivode of West Pomerania (the regional building-permit authority for offshore wind projects under Polish law) issued two key decisions granting construction permits for the 350 MW F.E.W. Baltic II offshore wind farm, then owned by RWE Offshore Wind Poland sp. z o.o. The permits cover the offshore wind turbines, the inter-array and telecommunications cables and the offshore substation, completing the principal building-permit package for the FEW Baltic II portion of what subsequently became the Baltica 9+ cluster. RWE indicated at the time that the remaining building permits were expected to follow in Q1 2025. This planning consent was inherited by PGE through the closing of the FEW Baltic II SPV acquisition on 10 March 2026 and supports the consented status of the wider Baltica 9+ project alongside the December 2025 Baltica 9 CfD award.
